Steamed Chicken Balls in Mushroom Sauce

Been wanting to mix steamed meat & sauces to bring out a unique flavour. Finally I  have this dish in front of you. A very easy recipe & might take a little longer than usual coz of steaming. Tastes really good & can be had with anything. We had this with Steamed Rice & it was super super tasty. A must try recipe & looks very gorgeous too:) Lets look into the recipe now

Ingredients: (Serves4)
250 Gms Chicken Mince
1 small Onion Chopped into small pieces
1 Tbsp Ginger & Garlic pieces
1 Cup /100 Gms chopped Button Mushroom
2 Tbsp Dark Soya Sauce
1 Tbsp Tomato Sauce
1 Tsp finely Chopped Green Chili
1/2 Cup of water
1/4 Tsp Coarse Black pepper powder
6 Tbsp Chopped Spring Onion
1 Tbsp corn flour mixed in 1/4 cup of water
1 Tsp Chili Sauce
Salt as per taste
1 Tbsp Oil

Method:

Mix Chicken Mince, Onion, 3 Tbsp Spring Onion, green chili & salt in a bowl. Make small balls & steam this in a steamer for about 5 mins. In a sauce pan add oil, ginger garlic, Mushroom & fry this well for about 4 to 5 mins on medium flame. Add 1/2 cup of water & all the sauces, Bring this to a boil,  drop in the steamed meat ball, black pepper & cook for another minute. Now add the cornflour mixture to thicken the sauce. Finally garnish it with spring onions

Note:
  • Mushroom brings out a very unique flavour to this dish. However you can also make it without the mushroom but the taste Will definitely vary.
  • Cab make around 12- 15 meat balls & serves 4
  • This goes well with Steamed Rice, Fried Rice & Noodles.
  • If you want it dry to have as appetiser than don't add water but still add the cornflour mixture.
